About the Item

Elegant Side Cabinet in Walnut and Red Marble, 1920s. This is a beautiful side cabinet in bookmatched walnut, red marble and brass fittings from the early 20th century. Probably French or Belgian. Great quality and execution, with nicely bookmatched walnut veneer on the doors and sides, hand made dovetail wood joints in the drawer and beautiful brass fittings. Fitted with a period top in expressive red marble which combines wonderfully with the warm color or the cabinet itself. The overall design is beautifully symmetrical and features really good proportions. The turned legs in solid wood also are a classical and elegant detail. A wonderful piece for a hallway, bathroom or bedroom. Comes in a very good condition with only minor signs of age and use - most noticeable on the marble top.
