About the Item
English Fumed Oak hand made drinks cabinet and wall cabinet. Unique and hand crafted design with adjustable shelving to store your treasured items, drinks and glasses.
Only the best solid Oak wood from the finest Oak trees grown in the U.K is used to construct this unique and artistic cabinet. The dark brown tones are created by fuming. A traditional and age old process that requires a great level of skill to get the rich chocolatey colour just so.
In an increasingly digital and distant world, this series of cabinets have been created to celebrate tangible and real connections.
They are a place to store treasured objects and artifacts. To help us celebrate people, memories and the places we inhabit.
It would be fair to say this is my unique take on the British terraced house and is rather similar to my own home. Just as these cabinets hang together, I hope they remind us of a sense of community and togetherness that humanity is in much need of right now.
All pieces are designed and made by the award winning up and coming Gareth 'Goldfinch' Brookes in his Manchester studio.
As wood is a unique living material, please expect slight variations in the tones and grain patterns of the wood. This is something to be celebrated, but of course if you have any specific requirements then please get in touch.
