About the Item

A fine Chippendale design marquetry inlaid satinwood pier cabinet. The base is designed as a cupboard with adjustable interior shelves. There is a central secret drawer, below the glazed top cabinet, with adjustable shelves. The drawers feature hand cast and gilded handles. The Firle Pier Cabinet is specialist lightly aged polished. The original pier bookcase is often considered to be one of Thomas Chippendale’s finest works. This piece can be bespoke made to the client’s required dimensions. Bespoke sizing, design adaptations and finishing available. We are currently working to a 30-36 week lead time.
