Painted Cupboard dated 1800 Period: Dated 1800 Origin: Tyrol Wood type: Fir Dimensions: H. 173 cm 68.1 in W. 110 cm (124 cm with cornices) 43.3 in (48.8 in with cornices) D. 55 cm (62 cm with cornices) 21.7 in (24.4 in with cornices) Description: Charming hand-painted single-door armoire with a faux wood grain background. The front features a refined floral motif in polychrome tones: in the center of the door stands a vase overflowing with red flowers set against a light blue background, framed by geometric panels and symmetrical oval decorations. The decorative scheme continues along the side panels, adorned with lozenge shapes and lance-like silhouettes, highlighted by delicate green and red borders that rhythmically structure the surface. The cornices and beveled edges are also painted with elegant faux moldings. The door is equipped with its original working lock and key. The base rests on slightly flattened bun feet, a typical feature of early 19th-century Tyrolean craftsmanship. Information on the restoration: The photographs you see depict the piece of furniture not yet restored. The state of conservation is excellent. The piece of furniture, at the time of sale, will be supplied completely restored. The customer will decide the desired level of restoration. Our laboratory guarantees conservative restoration for each piece of furniture while respecting its integrity. Each piece of furniture is treated to ensure solidity and hygiene. In particular, the following are carried out: – structural restoration – careful anti-woodworm treatment – cleaning and sanitization of the interior – external finish with natural beeswax – internal finish with shellac (natural alcohol-based varnish) Upon request, we can agree on the desired level of restoration and the customization of the internal layout (clothes hanger poles, shelves, etc.).
