Bought from a dealer on Marche Biron at the Paris antiques markets The commode is framed in a dark, almost ebony-toned wood, with gilt-bronze ormolu mounts on the corners, legs, and apron — including classical-style foliate mounts and scrolled acanthus designs
The cabriole legs terminate in gilt sabots, enhancing the overall opulent Rococo influence
