of Georgian style in the French taste, the serpentine top with matchbook herringbone veneer within a cross-banded border; all above a Bombé-form body fitted with two doors opening to reveal three mahogany serpentine drawers; flanked by carved foliate festoons cascading to an acanthus leaf carved foot; all sides with tulipwood and amaranth classically-inspired inlay of lively acanthus scrolls, floral vines, ribbons and urns
