About the Item
Late 19th century antique chimney cabinet in soft cerulean blue paint. Clearly homemade and fashioned from pine, this "chimney cabinet" is, like others of the era, traditionally shallow and designed to make the most of odd or slim spaces. Featuring primitive construction with two hinged doors and six interior shelves. Period hardware and plenty of signs of life add to its appeal. Would be great in a bathroom, foyer, or wherever a little extra storage is required. In nicely distressed antique condition - yet sturdy and ready for use.
Surprisingly roomy for a plethora of jars full of canned vegetables, a collection of stemware, or dry pantry goods. The color almost feels Scandinavian and the spare profile and form gives the piece almost a Shaker feel; extremely serene and pared down perfection.
