About the Item

A charming Italian 19th century Milanese st. Rosewood, Ebonized Fruitwood and Bone chiffonier cabinet, stamped Brevete VF Paris. The three drawer, one door chiffonier is raised by four topie shaped bun feet below the scalloped shaped apron. Most decorative curved designs lead up each side, decorated with finely inlaid flowers and charming masks. At the center are three bottom drawers and one middle door that flaps down and is decorated as faux drawers. Each are decorated with family crest shaped keyhole escutcheons, wonderfully executed Bone inlaid floral designs and charming mythical creatures. The sides are also decorated with lovely and intricately inlaid bone floral inlays framed within fine fillets. The same patterns are also repeated at the top, centered by a sun burst shaped bone inlaid mythological mask. All original patina throughout.
