We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely vintage Italian Burr
Pippy oak Housekeepers cupboard for folded linens or pots with geometric marquetry inlay
This is truly a stunning piece, the burr
pippy oak panels are 100% solid slabs of wood, you can see the open grain and figuring on both the inside and outside, you never ever find solid slabs of wood like this because its so expensive, they are always used for veneers and shaved into 1-2mm thick sheets
The piece has very detailed geometric marquetry inlay to the side pillars and drawer fronts, it gives the sense of depth and just screams pure quality. The main frame is pine, the top comes off for ease of transport and all cupboards have working locks and keys
In terms of the condition we have deep cleaned, hand condition waxed and hand polished it from top to bottom, there will be normal age and use related patina marks here and there
