About the Item

18th-Century Louis XV Italian Roman Inlaid Rosewood Prie-Dieu This Roman prie-dieu is made in two parts. A geometric inlay is visible on the top of the prie-dieu, beneath which lies a secret drawer compartment. This is followed by three in-line inlaid drawers . The base is similarly decorated with matching geometric line inlay and contains a second secret compartment concealed just below the lower section. The piece is supported by elegant cartel feet, completing its refined Louis XV character.
