This is a very old chest of drawers made in Japan. It is furniture from the Meiji period. (1860s-1900s) The main material is cedar wood. This is a very rare chest of drawers with a vertical lattice design on the lower and middle sections and a simple design on the upper section. This is all one piece and cannot be disassembled. This is a unique Japanese piece of furniture that combines simplicity and ruggedness. The overall color is black, with a slight gloss on the surface. The well-worn taste and dark color are also beautiful. It has been carefully and meticulously maintained so as not to spoil the atmosphere of the passage of time. The entire piece of furniture has been washed with water once and disinfected. The sliding doors and drawers can be opened and closed smoothly. You can use it with confidence. This chest of drawers evokes the Japanese spirit of wabi-sabi, which finds beauty in imperfection and impermanence. It is a modest, unconventional beauty that is the polar opposite of vulgarity. It is a unique and extremely rare piece. It weighs approximately 80 kg.
