This is a large antique glazed display cabinet. An English, walnut and boxwood drawing room bookcase, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.
Exceptional example, with superb colour and marquetry detail
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Select walnut stocks present striking grain interest throughout
Presented in eye-catching, caramel hues, with contrasting russet interior
Marquetry accentuates the top with inlaid oval medallion and fan shaped detail
Apron presents a classic Greek influence with foliate swag inlay
Pair of generously glazed doors, with a clear, bright view of the interior
Inset lock to the right hand door — in working order, key present
Central division creates two distinct sides to the interior
Shelves arranged at a height of 22cm to 23cm respectively
Standing upon a continuous plinth foot, with a panelled rear finish
