About the Item
This is a large mid-century modern sideboard - storage cabinet, from the 1960s. It is constructed from warm-toned wood, commonly used in mid-century design.
The piece features a clean, geometric layout with multiple compartments arranged in an asymmetrical grid. There are several cabinet doors—both single and double—along with several open shelving sections for display, or easy access storage. On the left side of the lower section, there are three stacked drawers with the original brass pull handles, matching the brass hardware on all doors throughout the cabinet.
The middle section has a pull down bar - great for home entertaining!
The cabinet stands on four straight, square wooden legs, giving it a light and elevated profile.
The overall design is minimalistic, emphasizing function and clean lines, characteristic of French or Scandinavian mid-century style.

Warm light brown oak and rich copper form a beautiful color palette in this cabinet vaisselier from the 1950s. On the front and top of the cabinet, the oak displays a striped lightwood/dark wood pattern that feels fun and very much of the era, while the recessed portions of the oak appear to shift into burnt orange for a subtle injection of natural color.
