A large Japanese Meiji period two-piece futon tansu cabinet from the late 19th century, with original iron hardware. Created in Japan during the second half of the 19th century, this large yet lightweight futon tansu cabinet features a linear Silhouette perfectly complimented by a natural finish. A masterpiece of cabinetry, the tansu showcases two upper sliding doors revealing a large storage space, while the lower section is made of drawers or different dimensions. Presenting its original iron hardware, this large 19th century Meiji period Japanese two-piece futon tansu will be an excellent addition to any home, particularly placed in a bedroom or living room.
