About the Item

Dutch Oak Cabinet in the Mannerist Style, Late 18th / Early 19th Century A beautifully crafted Dutch oak cabinet inspired by the Mannerist tradition, dating from the late 18th to early 19th century. This piece reflects the enduring influence of 17th-century Dutch design, reinterpreted through the refined craftsmanship of the late Georgian period. The façade is structured with architectural precision, featuring twin arched panels framed by ebonized geometric inlays that emphasize balance and contrast. The cabinet stands on turned bun feet at the front, with carved apron details and square back supports. The interior includes two fitted shelves, providing practical storage while maintaining the cabinet’s elegant proportions. Executed in solid oak with deep patina and subtle color variation, it showcases both decorative sophistication and robust construction typical of fine Dutch joinery. An impressive yet restrained statement piece, suitable for both period and contemporary interiors. Origin: The Netherlands Period: Late 18th / Early 19th Century Style: Dutch Mannerist Revival Material: Solid oak with ebonized wood inlay Condition: Very good antique condition; minor surface wear and age-related marks consistent with use.
