About the Item

Late 19th century table casket decorated with mother-of-pearl inlay and painted flowers. Two oval medallions with bouquets of flowers and scrollwork adorn the two doors on the main face. The interior is composed of a central niche and eight drawers with carved-shell drawer pulls. One of the drawers serves as an inkstand. It features a large receptacle for quills and a tray lined with dark purple velvet and gilded rinceau. English craftsmanship, circa 1880. Dimension: W: 13.4 in, D: 11 in - H: 13.8 in.
