About the Item
A spectacular cabinet in mammoth proportions, Lotus Sanctum Regalia has arches and motifs created with brass and resin marquetry. The internals are finished in gleaming brass. It can be customised in terms of size and colour
Each piece from this collection is thoughtfully put together by hand. Deeply inspired by the skilful inlay and brass artisanal work of India, the collection evokes a contemplation of our times, where a little humour is required in our daily lives, alongside at least a hint of spirituality, to welcome miracles every day. The reflection of purity, of the human spirit, is brought to life through colorful resin and solid brass craftsmanship. Utopian constructivist designs are contrasted with luxury through decadent forms and awe-inspiring beauty. Each piece will certainly add more meaning, beauty, poetry, connection, atmosphere and ethereal aspects, wherever placed. Enjoy subtle conversations with design, manifested through intrinsic brass and resin inlay, this eclectic and vibration altering work of Matteo Cibic and the keen eye of Scarlet Splendour, all of which only add more enamour to this jubilant collection.
Care: Wipe gently with dry soft cloth. Liquid spillage must be wiped without delay. A premium liquid wax maybe used occassionally to refresh the high gloss.
Please note: Each piece exalts the handmade, the painstakingly crafted, the authentic. A piece may have slight variations and tiny imperfections but these are the marks of an artisan, a testament to the individuality of each work of art. It is our belief that these variations infuse our objects d'art which desire and we assert our right to make the necessary qualitative changes. Prices do not include VAT. VAT may be applied depending on the ship-to location.

Scarlet Splendour
Ashish Bajoria and Suman Kanodia founded Scarlet Splendour in 2014. The siblings grew up in Kolkata, India with a deep sense of appreciation for the aesthetic. They combined their mutual passion for design to form Scarlet Splendour, with a view to integrate their maximalist sensibilities and become, possibly, the first design editors in India. They set out to create trailblazing furniture, lighting, and rugs on the borders of classical and modern, whimsical and serious, and functional and dramatic. Scarlet Splendour has collaborated with international stores, press agencies, artists, and designers to transform and take local craftsmanship to global levels. The company heralds a blend of the cultures and transcends geographical boundaries to achieve the extraordinary in the design world. The brand has collaborated with internationally acclaimed designers including Matteo Cibic, Elena Salmistraro, Marcantonio, Nika Zupanc and Richard Hutten, often merging European and Indian traditions.
Most recently, Scarlet Splendour collaborated with prominent designers Karim Rashid, Sacha Walckhoff and Richard Yasmine among others to showcase collections that have now been coined “Functional Art.” Scarlet Splendour combines its exquisite artistry with immaculate design to evoke decadence and timelessness.

Verdoux Storage Bar Cabinet by Matteo Cibic
By Matteo Cibic, Scarlet Splendour
Located in Kolkata, IN
Verdoux Storage Bar Cabinet by Matteo Cibic is an amazing cabinet, with fine leather interiors, designed to hold a full bar. Available in different patterns and colours, with customised sizes upon request.
India's handicrafts are as multifarious as its cultures, and as rich as its history. The art of bone and horn inlay is omnipresent here. Artisans from the Northern region of Sarai Tarin, to Bengal in the East, and Trivandrum in the South, have imbibed the ancient technique from Himalayan tribes, and have made their own mark along the way. The intricately crafted combs, vases, toys, and other objets d'art have long been a connoisseur's delight, and a means of livelihood for millions. When the founders of Scarlet Splendour and designer Matteo Cibic went on tour, in search of inspiration for their first collection, they were captivated by the exquisite bone marquetry. They decided to make a contemporary version of the playfully geometric designs, which would be accepted across the world. Cibic then developed a resin compound, and the company carried out trials with the material until they found the right mix. The resin would replicate ivory inlay, on a base of plywood, ultimately smoothened and lacquered to have no visible or tactile end. Each piece of the Vanilla Noir collection would then be made in India, by local craftsmen using locally sourced materials and pigments. The aim was to combine Indian workmanship and Western aesthetic in such a way that each piece appears timeless, and with multiple roots. In the unique decorative imprints one would recognize Indian styles, and also unexpected drifts to Italian design. The company's founders wanted to proudly showcase the fine art and making capabilities of their native India, and give the craftsmen due recognition. They have successfully paid homage to their heritage by elevating indigenous art...

The word Parvati, in Indian mythology, means “daughters
