From Niagara Furniture a Vintage Maitland Smith Breakfront in excellent original, as found, condition.
The Vintage Maitland Smith Breakfront comes in three sections. The upper section consisting of a deeply carved and beautifully executed frieze with numerous finials, drape carvings and a massive central urn. The center section features four oversized mahogany doors which are both banded and feature carved lattice work behind which rest some very thick glass shelves. Each cabinet section has two adjustable glass shelves. Factory lighting was installed in the upper section when the cabinet was created, we have not tested the lighting and would recommend having it professionally inspected before using it. The bottom section of the Vintage Maitland Smith Breakfront features four drawers over top four cabinet doors each of which is designed around an oval center section of the finest quality crotch mahogany. The outside lower cabinets each have a wooden shelf, the center section does not have a shelf but it would be an ideal place to store taller items. All of this rests on eight tapered and reeded legs of the finest quality

This is a beautiful antique Sheraton Revival top quality three door breakfront bookcase, masterfully crafted in rich satinwood by the renowned cabinet makers and retailers Edwards & Roberts, Circa 1880 in date.
This magnificent bookcase is surmounted with a beautiful swan neck cornice and is mastefully inlaid with scrolling garlands, ribbons, fans and urns. The three astragal glazed doors revealing adjustable shelves, the frieze with three oak lined frieze frieze drawers with hand cut dovetails.
Raised on six square tapering legs that terminate in spade feet there is no mistaking its superb quality and very grand design, which is certain to make it a talking point in your home and stand proud in whichever room you choose to display it.
