About the Item
An Italian pair of small-sized, raised side chests with bowed fronts from the late 18th century. This sweet pair of antique cabinets from Italy are created from walnut wood and feature a shapely bowed front, with carcase which houses two curved doors at its front, and a scallop carved front apron. The chests are nicely raised off of the ground on four cabriole style legs, whose knees project outward from beneath the piece at their sides, and terminate into carved whorl feet. Their backsides are flat and un-adorned, making these pieces best used against a wall. These 18th century Italian bow-front side chests will be great decorative storage-pieces where space is at a premium as they have been made in a cute size of just 18 inches wide and 10 inches in depth.
