About the Item
Rare antique country cabinet from the mid-19th century, the cabinet is dated "1846” at the back. The cabinet is a genuine country house furniture from northern Sweden that’s made by hand in pine. Measuring almost two and half meters tall this is a stately cabinet with an inviting presence due to the charm of the patina. The cabinet is made in two parts with old historic paint from the 1880s. The paint has traces of use and wear which has resulted in a unique distress and patina that adds to the character of the cabinet. The frame is healthy, solid and well-made by a skilled craftsman. The lower cabinet measures 90 cm tall.
