The cabinet comes from the famous Universal series (U-450), designed in 1958 for the Czechoslovak national company Interior Praha. The success of the Czech pavilion at the Brussels Ex-’58 was followed by the rise of the modernist style called ‘Brussels style.’ About Jiří Jiroutek Jiroutek, born in the Czech Republic, emerged as a significant figure in the world of design, particularly during the mid-20th century, when he contributed notably to the modernist movement within furniture design.
