About the Item

We are delighted to offer this very large full sized Military Campaign zinc lined chest or trunk with original locks and key designed as a wine / champaign cooler dating to the late Victorian era A very good looking and decorative piece, dating to the early 1900’s this is a genuine Military Campaign wine cooler. The wheels are circa 1920’s Art Deco, gilt metal and very decorative. The frame is all solid mahogany and its zinc lined. This is fully lockable, the twin locks are extremely well made We have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, the timber has a glorious patina throughout, some of the wheels are a little wonky Dimensions Height 71cm Width 137cm Depth 47.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
