About the Item
(Likely) 19th century Swedish or other Scandinavian rustic painted pine cabinet.
This piece features a thin coat of pale blue paint throughout with painted script along across the top below the molding, possibly dating this to the mid-19th century. The lone door on the cabinet has had an abstract design painted on it, possibly at a later date; the door opens to reveal a large interior storage area. The interior doesn't have shelving, but does include a number of carved hooks.
On the door is a large keyhole with locking mechanism, but the keys are not included and it is unknown if the lock is functional.
Cabinet separates from the base for ease of movement.
Exhibits minor signs of wear including some paint loss and small scuffs/scratches.
