Raymond Loewy Inspired Green Chapter One Triple Dresser by Broyhill
By Broyhill, Raymond Loewy
Located in Chattanooga, TN
Broyhill’s Chapter One Collection is officially harder to find and more sought after than the Raymond Loewy originals. With all due respect to Raymond Loewy, there really is something magical about the Chapter One line. Maybe they’re just more fun and approachable. Regardless, they’re one of our favourite collections of all time. This tall stack of sunburst yellow drawers looks like LEGO come time life. Exciting, bold yet practical, these deep drawers can hold heaps of stuff. The restoration team pulled no punches on this Chapter One Green Dresser, and the end result exceeded our expectations. The entire body and base was professionally sanded, primed and painted to match the original bright white. The laminate top and dark lime green molded plastic drawer fronts were finally buffed and polished to a glassy shine. Broyhill’s Chapter one collection borrowed from the plastic mold injection designs made famous by legendary designer Raymond Loewy. Like Loewy, this Chapter One Green Dresser employs the futuristic use of color and materials in a way that had not been seen before. The bright green plastic captures the playful spirit of the 1970s. The cabinet is supported by a white lacquered, curved plinth base that compliments the overall form of the dresser. Nine drawers roll-out on metal glides that have been adjusted and oiled to allow for easy functionality, and proper spacing. This colorful, curvaceous case-good could have blended in nicely on the set of 2001 A Space Odyssey. The space-age look has never been more desirable, which may help explain the recent scarcity of all things Chapter One. Complete your green Chapter one bedroom set with the high dresser and nightstand (sold separately). We also have matching pieces including a yellow double dresser, yellow nightstand...

Raymond Loewy Inspired Yellow Chapter One Stereo Record Cabinet Broyhill Premier
By Raymond Loewy, Broyhill
Located in Chattanooga, TN
Measuring about 30 inches wide × 18 inches deep × 30 inches high, this vintage Chapter One stereo/record cabinet is compact yet charismatic, offering both storage and style. All painted wood surfaces have been professionally sanded, primed, and refinished; the formerly green doors now glow in a canary yellow lacquer that captures the playful, optimistic spirit of the 1970s. The body is a crisp white that contrasts beautifully with the yellow doors. Chrome pulls and the laminate top have been buffed to a glass-like shine, restoring both brilliance and tactile smoothness. Behind two hinged doors sits a removable/adjustable shelf, enabling flexible storage for records, media components, or barware. A discreet hole has been drilled in the back panel to allow wires to pass through and components to vent, so it works as a media cabinet or dry bar with elegance. Vintage character remains in small, affectionate details: minor surface wear under close inspection, light patina around chrome edges, subtle variation in finish that affirms origin rather than detracting. Structurally strong, doors align, pulls and hinges function smoothly. Visually this cabinet serves as more than storage—it’s a centerpiece. It suits interiors that welcome bold color and retro personality: pair with minimalist furniture so the yellow pops, or with mirrored/accented surfaces and warm woods that echo the warmth. It makes a statement in living rooms, dens, or music/entertainment corners where presence and practicality matter. For collectors who value Broyhill’s Chapter One line, restored condition, and design with both culture and function, this cabinet feels rare. It offers story, color, and utility in equal measure. The FMV restoration team pulled no punches on this Broyhill Chapter One...

Vintage 1970s Raymond Loewy Style Space Age Green Chapter One Highboy Dresser
By Broyhill, Raymond Loewy
Located in Chattanooga, TN
This bold highboy dresser from the 1970s pushes the boundaries of mid-century design. Crafted under the “Chapter One” collection by Broyhill, the piece channels the visionary aesthetic of Raymond Loewy—futuristic curves, molded plastics, and a color-pop that feels more rocket-age than bedroom. The body is crisp white lacquered wood, serving as the perfect backdrop to the brilliant molded polymer drawer fronts—this version rendered in vibrant space-age green. The top is a high-gloss laminate that captures ambient light like a showroom surface, while the curved edges and flush handle details keep the profile tight and streamlined. With generous drawer volume and weighty construction, this casepiece balances sculptural form with everyday functionality. Little of the Chapter One collection remains today, making this an outstanding opportunity. Its proportions—approximately 39.5″ W × 18″ D × 43.75″ H—make it ideal for both residential and high-end interior installations. Condition is VERY GOOD: the body has been professionally refinished to preserve the original aesthetic, the polymer fronts retain their rich color and depth, and all hardware and glides perform smoothly. Whether featured as part of a curated mid-century suite or standing alone as a statement piece, this Chapter One dresser brings a rare blend of optimism, design heritage, and vibrant character to any setting. The body has been expertly refinished: the frame and plinth base stripped, sanded, primed, and painted a crisp white, while the molded plastic drawer fronts are original and rendered in vibrant green Cycolac polymer. The laminate top has been restored and polished to a glassy high-gloss shine, reinforcing that space-age aesthetic. Rounded corners soften the geometry and give the dresser a sleek, playful presence. Functionally, the drawers are generously deep, capacious enough to hold linens, folded garments, or other items with ease; build quality is solid. The plinth base provides stable support and sits cleanly close to the floor, anchoring the bold vertical form without feeling bulky. Decoratively, this dresser is more than furniture — it’s an object of personality and nostalgia. In interiors that favor bold color, graphic contrast, and mid-century innovation, it becomes a focal point. It pairs beautifully with warm woods, metallic accents, mirror surfaces, or minimalist décor to allow its form and color to shine. Broyhill’s Chapter one collection borrowed from the plastic mold injection designs made famous by legendary designer Raymond Loewy. Like Loewy, these Chapter One Dressers employ the futuristic use of color and materials in a way that had not been seen before. The bright yellow plastic captures the playful spirit of the 1970s. The dresser is supported by a lacquered plinth base with rounded corners. This colorful, curvaceous case-good could have blended in nicely on the set of 2001 A Space Odyssey. The space-age look has never been more desirable, which may help explain the recent scarcity of all things Chapter One. We also have matching pieces including two low dressers, yellow nightstand...
