About the Item
Elegant and unique chest made of solid chestnut wood, painted in tempera in shades of red, green, yellow, and black. The chest is rectangular in shape, with bracketed feet and a protruding top. Its spacious interior also features a small additional shelf. The chest is decorated on the front and sides with geometric motifs and coats of arms attributable to a family from the Marche region, featuring three figurative heads in profile. This is a unique piece, capable of furnishing any space with a touch of antiquity and class. Made in the Marche region (central Italy), during the Louis XIV period, in the second half of the 17th century.
