About the Item
A lovely walnut French provincial cabinet of small size, the arched moulded cornice with a charming carved design of potted flowers above a paneled glazed door with with a polished steel escutcheon resting on upturned scroll legs. The apron is decorated with a carved vase and flowers similar to the cornice. The piece is fitted with 2 later glass shelves. The entire cabinet is made with pegged joinery, visible in the images and could be used either as a hanging or table cabinet. Wonderful old color and patina, circa 1790-1820.
