This Dutch filing cabinet is another fine example of the superior craftsmanship and quality furniture produced in the early 20th century. Its angular Art Deco design and the warm, beautifully aged oak patina are an absolute delight to behold. This original tambour-door filing cabinet was masterfully handcrafted and remains as solid and stable today as when it was made.
The solid oak roller door runs smoothly and is fitted with its original, perfectly working lock and ‘double-bearded’ key, a detail characteristic of early 20th-century office furniture. Inside, eight clean and sturdy shelves offer generous space for storing documents, sheet music, comic books, or photo albums.
The cabinet has been very well cared for and is in exceptional condition for its age. It shows only a few light scratches and small imperfections consistent with decades of use, subtle signs that add to its authentic charm and character.
