About the Item
A stunning pair of richly patinated mahogany 19th Century pier or side cabinets, fabulously hand carved, of exceptional quality and intricately decorated with finely cast brass inlay and mounts throughout. The well figured, line inlaid and moulded top of rectangular form with decorative brass border detail raised above an elegantly simple brass mounted frieze. Supported over a single panelled glazed door with brass escutcheon and key, opening to a shelved and lined interior, flanked with a gorgeous pair of ring turned brass mounted column supports, terminating on lion paw feet, finely carved in high relief.
