About the Item

This Swedish folk or country cabinet case piece was hand-crafted in the 19th Century. It consists of two pieces: a cabinet top and a chest of drawers. The cabinet comes with a working key and opens up to four shelves that have been painted a pink hue. The bottom chest has two full-length drawers equipped with two knob pulls. What's striking about this cabinetry is its warm, hand-made quality and well-weathered surfaces. A terra-cotta paint color - with a ground peeking through and showing white and lighter pale peach hues - covers the entire front and sides. Overall this is a well-crafted, richly textured cabinetry that offers ample storage space. We have additional images that we can provide upon request. Condition notes: In overall good condition and structurally sound. The painted surface might be a more recent modification. Wear is consistent with the cabinet's age and use. Overall dimensions: 45 in. width 17.25 in. depth 73.5 in. height Cabinet top dimensions: 45 in. width 17 in. depth 47.5 in. height Cabinet bottom dimensions: 39 in. width 15.5 in. depth The height of the four shelves are: 11 in., 10 in., 10.5 in., and 11 in. All four shelves are 37.5 in. wide by 12 in. deep. Chest of drawers dimensions: 41.5 in. width 17.25 in. depth 26.5 in. height Each drawer measures 37.5 in. wide by 15 in. deep by 8 in. tall.
