A breakfront china cabinet, with secretary desk, in the Asian Chinoiserie style, by Union-National. Solid hardwood with hand painted Chinoiserie scenes gold accents on black lacquer, brass hardware, crown dentil moulding to top, bevel edge to top of lower cabinet, and a solid base. Upper cabinet has three separate sections; center having dual lockable multi-paned glass doors flanked on each side by one lockable multi-paned glass door. All three sections have red painted interiors and two adjustable black painted plate-grooved wood shelves. Lower cabinet features a center slide-out drop-down drawer top revealing a secretary desk with gold embossed leather writing surface, slide-out cubbies small drawers section; flanked on each side by one drawer. Beneath are three larger drawers flanked by dual one door side cabinets revealing storage with one removable wood shelf in each. Includes one key. One piece construction. Made in Jamestown, New York, USA, in the mid 20th Century. Measures: 61W 16D 80H, Desk Open: 30.75D, Knee Clearance: 28H. Good vintage condition with many signs of previous use. Nicks, blemishes and scratches throughout. Cracks to glass on right two doors, see photos. Drawers, doors and locks function properly. Has one key. Structurally sound and sturdy.
