About the Item

Antique folk art wedding cabinet dating from 1806 from Franconia, southern Germany. This cabinet has a warm appearance and enough details to immediately stand out. Suitable for an interior where craftsmanship, history, and color are given a place. The piece of furniture features the original 1806 painting in a beautiful light blue. This original paint has worn beautifully over the years, giving it a very distinctive look. The cabinet is beautifully decorated with trees of life in the panels, typical of folk art from that period and region. The cabinet has been completely inspected and professionally restored, with an eye for originality and character. The construction is solid, the painting is beautifully intact, and the patina has been preserved. The cabinet has an original working lock and is fitted with a shelf and a rod on the inside. This rod, and one of the two wedges used for disassembling the cabinet, have been replaced at some point. Old, occasionally present woodworm spores have been checked and treated. Wedding cabinets like this are rarely found. The colors, paintings, and patina make this an exclusive piece of furniture. The cabinet can be transported in two parts. 190cm high, 170cm wide, 56cm deep.
