About the Item

This is perhaps one of our favorite pieces and one of the most sophisticated and uniquely finished chests from the mid 18th century. An English - King George III, Hepplewhite flame mahogany five-drawer dresser with rosewood banded surface edge framing tulipwood top, boxwood string inlay with repeat on the drawer fronts finished with D-molding around each drawer facing and period brass reticulated drawer pulls. The dresser is designed with architectonic forms with straight and elegant lines. The bottom skirt is serpentine shaped on short front legs. This is a one-of-a-kind piece, not to be overlooked by those with highly discerning and discriminating taste in period furniture.
