About the Item

18th Century Country French Style Dutch Chest of Drawers is a masterpiece of form over function! Hand-crafted from thick planks of old-growth oak and fruitwoods, it features deep, spacious drawers for lots of storage opportunities. The solid plank top is framed by deep planks with a beveled edge all around, and four solid posts form the corners and provide a framework for the design. Solid panels on each side and even the back are connected with double-pegged mortise tenon joinery. The facade is adorned with a modest carving on the apron below, and lavish, elegant cast brass bale pulls with distinctive guards coupled with finely crafted pierced key guards for a regal touch. Literally designed to last for generations! Circa 1770s Measures 32.5H x 48W x 24.5D.
