About the Item

Small George III chest of drawers hand-crafted in the UK in the late 1700s using oak. The chest is small in size however do not let that fool you because this baby is 100% solid oak and weighs more than my Labrador after a hefty meal. The dresser has very straight, timeless lines and features four inset drawers with ogee edges. The top features two boards framed by cross-banded oak veneer and ogee edges. The chest sits on a molded base and four hand-carved bracket feet. The drawers work well, therefore, the chest can be used on a daily basis. Overall this is a simple, yet beautiful, chest of drawers that because of its size can fit and look great in different settings and rooms. The deep color and simple lines give it a classical look; at the same time the striation of the oak give it also a rustic look, making it the perfect piece for a country home that needs a bit of a classical look.
