About the Item

For sale is a good quality George I solid walnut chest on stand, retaining its original base and locks etc. The top having a moulded cornice above a frieze drawer, over two short and three long drawers, with the base having a single deep drawer. Each drawer has has brass swan neck handles and brass escutcheons. The chest stands on cabriole legs and remains in very good condition for its age. To the side of the base the initials "TW" have been stamped. Possibly to identify the chest if it was stolen. Measure: Width: 112cm Depth: 60cm Height: 181cm.
