About the Item

Fine 18th-Century George III Period Mahogany Bow-Fronted Chest of Drawers A fine quality 18th-century George III period bow-fronted chest of drawers, crafted from beautifully figured solid mahogany and dating from circa 1790. The rectangular bow-fronted moulded top sits above three long, graduated, cockbeaded drawers, all oak-lined and fitted with their original brass ring handles. A shaped apron below adds to its elegance, while the piece is supported on splayed bracket feet. This chest boasts a superb original colour and patina, making it a striking and functional example of Georgian craftsmanship. The figured mahogany displays a rich, warm tone, and the piece is in excellent original condition. This commode is not only a testament to exceptional 18th-century craftsmanship but also a stunning example of late Georgian design, making it an ideal addition to any refined interior.
