About the Item
A wonderful early 18th-century Queen Anne period walnut chest on stand/highboy, displaying its original untouched colour and patina. It is structurally sound with smoothly running drawers and is completely usable with locking drawers.
It features superb figured walnut veneers with delicate feather banding along the edges of the drawers.
The chest retains its original chased brass handles and escutcheons. The chest shows signs of age and use, including old repairs, as would be expected from a piece of furniture that has been used for the past 300 years.
