About the Item

A very attractive late 18th century Italian two drawer serpentine front burl Walnut commode resting on cabriole legs. Nicely inlaid and veneered cross banded and quartered paneled Walnut burl veneer on the top and case. Very large wide dovetailed construction on the back boards. The locks are still intact and there are two worn faded labels on the backboards that are not legible. Very good condition with an old surface with a great color and patina that has been wax polished.
