19TH C French Lois XVI style Commode Attributed to Henri Dasson Antique French Empire Style Marble-Top Commode with Ormolu Mounts
Add timeless elegance to your space with this exquisite French Empire style commode, masterfully crafted in the late 19th century. Featuring a stunning breche d'Alep marble top, this piece is constructed from rich burled walnut veneer and adorned with intricate gilded bronze (ormolu) mounts.
The facade is beautifully accented with a central large drawer framed by neoclassical bronze detailing and topped with a frieze drawer boasting ornate ormolu decoration of scrolling foliage, musical instruments, and a classical urn motif. Fluted pilasters with bronze capitals and bases flank the sides, adding to its architectural elegance.
