About the Item

Remarkable, early 19th century Biedermeier nutwood trumeau commode from the early period in Austria around 1825. A perfect sized example of antique Biedermeier furniture that blends well in a lot of different interior designs due to its straight, timeless design. Veneered with finest nutwood, this remarkable Biedermeier commode impresses with an absolute breathtaking mirrormatched grain which runs down from the top to the bottom without any interruption - a real masterpiece of 19th century craftmanship. Standing on four delicate pointed feet, this absolute gorgeous looking Biedermeier commode features a drawer (unfortunately this key is missing) with artfully made brass fitting and a practical storage room divided into two compartments behind the lockable double door, which still keeps the original and fully functional lock. The pilasters are additionally adorned by ebonized half columns. A truly elegant 19th century Biedermeier trumeau commode which comes in great old restored condition. * PLEASE NOTE: the restoration has been done already a few years ago - but as you can see it is still in a great condition.
