About the Item

19th century burl ash commode from France . This is a period Louis Philippe piece, with a fabulous gray marble top. The color and matrix are absolutely amazing in this top! The case is made entirely from burl ash, and exhibits the most gorgeous graining on all three sides. The sides are simple and there are four drawers, the top drawer being hidden in the molding for added design interest. The case has a banded base and is supported on simple bracket feet in the back and hand scalloped bracket feet in the front. This is a stunning piece for any home or office. What a showstopper!
