About the Item

Small Biedermeier chest of drawers hand-made in Denmark in the early 1800s using maple and pine and decorated with maple book-matched veneer. The chest is very linear and features four inset drawers all showing beautiful hand-made dovetail joints. The sides are flat and the top decorated with a small curved molding applied about two centimeters from the top. The case and the molding all show cantered corners, providing a touch of softness to the very straight lines. The entire chest is decorated with book-matched and burl maple veneer. The bleaching process allowed the beautiful grain of the wood to surface showing a beautiful marbling effect and providing a lot of depth. The chest is a beautiful and fully-functional piece that can provide storage as well as decoration to any room it is added. It's small size make it perfect for a small entryway, a hallway or that one nook that needs something gorgeous to make it pop.
