This item is a Regency or George III bow-front mahogany chest of drawers.Bow Front: The distinctive convex curve of the front adds visual appeal and functional depth. It is crafted from mahogany, a favored hardwood during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The chest features four graduated drawers (meaning they increase in size from top to bottom), which are oak-lined, a common sign of quality antique construction. The drawers have cockbeaded edges, a delicate raised trim that protects the veneer. It retains period-appropriate oval brass handles and escutcheons (keyhole plates). The piece stands on splayed or bracket feet. All the drawers slide effortlessly as we clean and wax them before delivering our shipping.
