Viennese Biedermeier is distinguished by their sophisticated proportions, rare and refined design and excellent craftsmanship and continue to have a great influence on modern design.
This three-drawer chest is an exquisite example of early Viennese Biedermeier.
The piece have beautiful highly figured walnut veneer with lovely light amber color and 200 years old patina. Ebonized columns emphasize the great proportions of this elegant piece.
The brass hardware and locks are original.
Pieces of such quality as this fine, exceptional Viennese Biedermeier commode are very rare and hard to find.
The chest is set on graceful, high legs that give it an elegant lightness.
Lovely highly figured book matched walnut veneer is just gorgeous.
