About the Item
Nightstand hand-made in France in the early 1800s using walnut and decorated with book-matched walnut veneer. The small chest of drawers is absolutely gorgeous and great proportions, which makes this. a piece that could be placed next to a bed, as well as in a small entryway, hallway or nook that needs something warm and decorative. The commode features four inset, fully-functional drawers with beautiful, hand-made dovetail joints. The drawer fronts, as well as the sides and top of the chest are decorated with beautiful, book-matched walnut veneer, which provides the piece with elegant decoration created using the grain of the wood very creatively. The square bales may have been replaced.
The simple, straight lines of the chest are softened by the warm color and the curves delineated by the grain of the wood. Its small size make it a perfect piece for many spaces and will provide both decoration as well as practical storage space.
