About the Item

19th century Gustavian influenced chest of drawers circa 1870. Good quality Scandinavian chest of drawers made in pine and re-painted in the early 20th century into it's current blue/green scheme. Rectangular top with front canted corners and applied moulding.  Fitted with 4 graduating drawers and later brass handles and key plates.  Floor level moulding and raised on front bun feet and block feet to the rear. Paint finish is smooth like a lacquered type finish.  Expected surface marks and fading.  Restoration to re apply the moulding to the top edge.  Ready for everyday use.
