About the Item

Neoclassical chest of drawers hand-crafted in Italy in the early 1800s using walnut and painted in a beautiful blue-jeans color. The chest features three inset drawers all with beautiful hand-made dovetail joints. The drawer fronts are flat and decorated with a slightly darker blue line band along the edges with a greek key pattern on the corners, and a shield escutcheon on the center. The locks have been taken out, and the drawers lack pulls (as typical for the style), however they can be opened using the key as a pull. Overall this is a beautifully-made chest, which is sturdy and can be used on a daily basis. The top is painted in gray and very texturized. This is a beautiful chest that is functional and decorative. The visible different layers of the paint give it a look of depth and texture, making it a perfect piece for a room that needs a splash of color and a modern take to a classical style.
