19th century mahogany military secrétaire chest, having a combination of two short over four long mahogany lined drawers with original brass recessed handles, the middle drawer pulls out to reveal a lovely quality secrétaire drawer with various compartments and secret drawers, the centre of the drawer there is a lift up writing slope with a leather writing surface with blind and gold tooling, the chest has brass corner straps throughout, on the top right hand drawer there is a label marked “Army
Navy C.S.L makers” The chest is in two sections so it’s easy to place in any premises, supported on turned feet. Superb quality and in excellent condition, Circa 1880.
