About the Item

19th century pair of hand painted Swedish chest of drawers circa 1880. Fine quality pair of chests that feature reeded drawer fronts. Rectangular tops with angled corners and moulded front and sides.  Each chest fitted with 3 drawers complete with brass cast handles with urn detailing.  Canted corners with fluted detailing and an applied carved star.  Each standing on 4 tapered legs. Ideal size for most rooms around the home, ideally positioned either side of something like a doorway, bed or fireplace. Later applied paint which has aged and worn through in places.  Minor surface marks to woodwork.  Ready for everyday use.
