A beautiful Danish Empire or Biedermeier chest in fine West Indies mahogany with four drawers of staggered heights. The handsome figuring of the grain is given added movement by the flat cut contiguous veneer moving horizontally across the front of the chest.. Chest offers a pedestal top and rests on turned front feet, with diamond-shaped inlaid satinwood key insets. The top and bottom drawers have sculpted fronts. The secondary wood is pine as is traditional in Scandinavian cabinetry. Denmark, circa 1830. Note: You should always request a shipping quote.
